Michelin

Michelin continued its outstanding record in the American Le Mans Series by winning the LMP1, GT1 and GT2 Tire Manufacturer titles in 2005. The P1 and GT2 wins were the sixth in a row for Michelin. Michelin partner teams took 30 Series class victories in 31 race class starts in the 10-race 2005 season, including a debut victory in the P2 class in conjunction with the new Penske Porsche RS Spyder. Dating back to the inception of the Series in 1999, Michelin teams have led 11,058 out of a possible 11,799 laps (94 percent) in American Le Mans Series competition en route to winning 53 of 66 races, including all seven 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans events. The world’s largest tire maker, Michelin manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle.
